Calves and youngstock farming

Calves and youngstock farming equipment from SKIOLD JYDEN provides for high quality and meet the animals needs on each stage of the their lives.

In the first half of their year, calves and youngstock are housed in several different types of shelters, designed for different purposes. The needs of newborn calves are very different from the heifers' needs and should be considered in the planning of barn conditions. Depending on the size of the farm, the layout of the penning typically allows no more than 14 days difference between the oldest and the youngest calf. Whilst the calves are young, it is necessary to pay close attention on the individual calf and ensure good management observation for timely intervention when handling diseased animals.
