By choosing the ideal solution for natural ventilation to your stable, you increase the animal welfare perceptibly and with it your production profit. Skiold Jydens Alu-Ridge ventilation gives an excellent combination of ventilation and diffusion of light as an integrated part of the natural ventilation in the stable.

The system can replace a part of the building and installed as either with fi rm or adjustable opening. If the system is installed with an adjustable opening, these will open and close either by motor or hand regulation. In both systems the opening can be secured against inflying birds by mounting a bird net.

Isolated and UV resistant Lexan PC (Polycarbonate) plates prevents condensation on the inside of the ridge. The plate
profi le and technical construction gives a robust and weatherproof solution with optimal transparency, performance and easy operation. Skiold Jydens Alu-Ridge can with advantage be controlled automatic through Dairy Center / Dairy Master with temperature sensor, weather station with wind and rain sensor, to secure optimal stable climate in all weather conditions.

The design of the Kip and wind plates creates a vacuum effect, which efficiency sucks the warm and old air out of the stable. By choosing Alu-Ridge with fi rm or adjustable opening, you give your herd the best conditions of life despite changing weather conditions.

Breeze ventilator is a HVLS (High Volume Low Speed) ventilator, developed to circulate a large amount of air and create an effi cient air circulation in buildings with animals. The functioning of Breeze Ventilator is simple – it creates a slow comfortable breeze that optimize cooling of the animals in warm periods and circulate and improves minimum ventilation in cold periods.

Breeze Ventilator will also reduce humidity, condensation and odor and thereby create a healthier and more comfortable environment. Dairy as well as other other animals as horses, pigs and poultry are very sensitive to heat stress. In warm periods the animal uses most of their energy on cooling, which results in reduced production.

Breeze Ventilator is designed to create an easy air movement around the animal. It prevents heat stress that causes reduced production. The large air circulation created by Breeze Ventilator will calmly be spread throughout the building, from corner to corner. Breeze Ventilator helps keeping the bearing area dry, spread odor and ammonia and reduce birds and insects.

The special wing profi le on Breeze ventilator generates a large cylinder shaped amount of air against the fl oor area. When the air stream meets the fl oor, it leads out the air in all directions and creates a horizontally air fl ow. In this way the air will be pressed out towards the sides of the building and creates an optimal air movement in the stable.

Folding Curtain is produced in a hard-wearing and UV durable PVC coating on a polyester woven core. The color is light grey (chosen in order to optimum light penetration). The curtain is antistatic; it rejects straw, dust and sand. The curtain falls down and lays fl at on top of wall/plinth when it is completely open.

As a security against infl uence from the wind, special wind pipes are installed for every other meter in the length of the stable (indicative – the distance of wind pipes varies with opening height). Wind pipes are produced by galvanized iron with an outer plastic pipe (to minimize wear and tear). Wind pipes are installed on both outer- and inner side of the curtain and therefor also functions as a fi xation of the curtain.

MFL: As an alternative to wind pipes, Folding Curtains is deliverable with ropes instead. The rope is mounted on the
front- and back side of the curtain, where it both works as protection against infl uence of the wind and fi xing of the
curtain in the same way as wind pipes. The rope is anchored with eye bolts, which are mounted in top and bottom timber. The rope follows a “V” pattern in the entire length of the curtain. To minimize draft both ends of the curtain has a windscreen mounted.

The curtain is installed with either a stainless pull/wire system (MFP/MFL) or with harness pull (MFP-S). The wire system can be operated vertical by a manual handle or a winch motor. The harness pull is always operated electrically. When the curtain is equipped with a motor you can choose a semi-automatic solu-tion with manual regulator, where you yourself choose when the curtain rolls up or down – or you can choose a fully automatic solution, where the curtain is regulated by Jydens Dairy Center / Master climate control combined with a weather station.

Skiold Jydens Light Panel MVP and MVP-S is characterized by a simple mounting. The Light Panels are produced in 10mm thickness of constant UV polycarbonate, and is delivered fully assembled with Alu-edge rails and slide bearings. A 10 years guarantee for light penetration on the panels is provided. Furthermore Light Panels has an isolating eff ect in closed position, therefor they are particularly suitable for stables in cold climates but also for veal stables and milking parlor and holding areas in temperate climates.

MVP Light Panel is regulated by manual handle or electrical winch motor and it connects to Jydens climate control Dairy Master / Center for automatic regulation.

MVP-S: Light Panel can also be delivered in a version where the panel raises and lowes via a harness pull. This version is only available with electrical winch motor, which also connects to Skiold Jydens Climate Control Dairy Master / Center. This solution is specially recommended for wider openings.

Milking Parlour Curtain is used between milking room and stable, to keep the warmth in the milking room, and to divide the cows into teams. The curtain is rolled up around the upper beam. As a standard the curtain measures 6 x 3 + 12 x 3 + 18 x 3 but is deliverable in other sizes.

The Curtain is fabricated in a hard-wearing and UV resistant material. The core is polyester woven with a PVC coating on top. The color is light grey. The antistatic surface is dirt-proof (straw, sand, dust).

AIRSPEED FOOTPRINT
The airspeed footprint is defined as the area in which the average airspeed exceeds 2 m/s. The airspeed is measured at a level 1 m above the ground when the bottom of the fan is mounted 2.7m above the level of the ground. Measurements were taken in an empty room. Actual airspeed might be influenced by objects such as animals and structural elements.

If a wider access to the stable sections is needed (wider than the recommended 2 meters distance between the wind pipes), Duplex is deliverable with removable wind pipes – the so called “click-and-go” solution, where wind pipes are easily “clicked” out from their normal position between the rafters in the stable, and in this way gives a wider access.
