Winning post-harvest technologies for paddy rice
Vietnam is among the leading paddy rice producing and exporting countries in the world. However, the country, especially in the Mekong Delta region, is facing many challenges in the post-harvesting, including:
- Lack of capacity to respond quickly to the harvested crop. The yield for paddy rice in the Mekong Delta is 20-25 million tons/year and it requires high-capacity solutions in order to handle unloading, drying and processing of this large quantities.
- Traditional post-harvest technologies with little automation/mechanization lead to loss of rice quantity and quality throughout the handling process.
- The increasing shortage of land and human ressources in the region requests the industry to explore automatic solutions with less consumption of land and workforce, for e.g. using silo for storage.
Join this seminar to hear more about how to face these challenges by using winning post-harvest paddy rice technologies. It will take place at Sai Gon Vinh Long Hotel, 2 Trung Nu Vuong, Ward 1, Vinh Long City, on Thursday May 19th 2022
