SKIOLD hires new head of office in Vietnam: "We will return stronger to the Vietnamese market"
For many years, SKIOLD has had a strategic focus on the Asian market, and this focus contributed to the group establishing an office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
This setup has helped generate several large projects, but in recent years, the changing competitive situation in Asia, particularly in relation to Chinese players in the market, has meant that SKIOLD has adjusted its strategy.
"Until now, we have focused on farm technology for pigs and milling in selected Asian markets, primarily Vietnam. We have now decided to scope it, so the primary focus will be milling solutions via the 'feed on farm' concept. The new strategy and new focus will contribute to our resources being used as efficiently as possible," explains Morten Rosager Andersen, CEO of SKIOLD.
New head of office in Vietnam
The new focus is aimed at pigs, chicken, egg, and cattle producers who want to be self-sufficient in feed. Here, SKIOLD will offer its proven technology, and it will be in standardized setups where output and performance are known.
"Overall, we are focusing on milling solutions for agriculture. In addition, we also place great emphasis on selling components for existing and new plants and increasing our focus on service and after-sales in Vietnam," says Morten Rosager Andersen.
An important element of the new focus is the hiring of a head of the office in Vietnam, which has six employees. The person who will lead it is Adam Bielefeld Schou, Regional Manager for Vietnam.
"I am very much looking forward to this, as Adam and I have had many good dialogues. I am convinced that we can succeed in making the office with its six skilled and dedicated employees the success they deserve," says Morten Rosager Andersen.
Vietnam – an independent SKIOLD region
Adam Bielefeld Schou is known at SKIOLD and has worked in Vietnam for a year and a half on the eXT project, which is now in its final phase. As head of the office in Ho Chi Minh City, he will now start establishing a new and appropriate structure, and an important task is, together with SKIOLD's internal execution department and the factory in Poland, to align the interfaces so that cross-functional collaboration works optimally.
"We have, unfortunately, due to several reasons, had a major decline in the Vietnamese market. With Adam at the helm, I am convinced that we will return stronger to that market. Therefore, Vietnam will in the future be considered an independent SKIOLD region on par with Sweden and France," says Morten Rosager Andersen.
