In Australia is SKIOLD & Vacuum Milling Solutions, and the man at the helm of the company and founder with around 20 employees is Martin Liese.

The 48-year-old CEO who has run the company since 2011, but before that he had an exciting business career that began when he was just 16 years old.

“I didn't really like going to school I just wanted to work, so I was quite young when I got a job in the milk machine industry as a milking machine technician for a Delaval company,” says Martin Liese.

That turned into 11 years, the last of which he spent as a manager in sales, service and the installation of milking machines.

“I dreamed of becoming self-employed, and after several years in the agricultural equipment industry, I founded Vacuum Milling Solutions in 2005. It was an exciting time, but I had reached a point by 2011 and wanted to secure my future in the feed milling industry and further grow,” says Martin Liese.

SKIOLD bought 50 per cent

Through Vacuum Milling Solutions, he had become acquainted with SKIOLD, and he contacted then CEO of SKIOLD to explore the possibilities of some kind of collaboration.

“We came to a good agreement where SKIOLD bought 50 per cent of Vacuum Milling Solutions, while I kept the other 50 per cent. Since then, we have combined quality European machinery with our specialised service,” explains Martin Liese, who also in 2020 become a co-owner of the SKIOLD Group.

SKIOLD & Vacuum Milling Solutions specialise in identifying the customer's specific needs for complete feed milling and pig feeding, both tailor made and standard design with capacities from 1tph to 40tph and bigger upon request. 

“We offer the whole package of equipment, accessories and control systems for a complete feed milling and pig feeding solution including technical support and service,” says Martin Liese.

What are SKIOLD’s strengths from your point of view?

“The SKIOLD/VMS team is one of our biggest strengths. We are all dedicated to customer satisfaction and service, which leads to 90 per cent of work coming from customer referrals.”
