Smart Feeder is a feed dispenser that contains a number of smart functions and logical settings that are adapted to the individual sow's behavior. The system works with the Distriwin controller, which handles the feed allocation based on the Smart Feeder's feedback from the sows and thereby can adjust the feed allocation.

During pregnancy and farrowing, the sow goes through many phases. Especially around the farrowing process, you can help the sow avoid unintentional behavior and thereby counteract the risk of farrowing fever.

After farrowing, for example, you can initiate feeding according to a restricted feed curve and then let it continue with the ad libitum function according to the sensor in the trough.

The combination of protecting the sows during their exposed and critical phases, and then enable the sow's potential in relation to intake and capacity, will optimize and stimulate milk production and thus ensure the growth of the piglets.
